Axentec and RedDot to develop AI-based fault detection system for EGCB

Dhaka, 9 January 2024: In a groundbreaking collaboration, Robi’s ICT focused subsidiary companies, Axentec and RedDot Digital have recently signed an agreement with Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh (EGCB) to implement an AI-based early fault detection system for EGCB's power plants.

EGCB’s Executive Director, Planning & Design, Md. Nazmul Alam, Axentec’s Managing Director and CEO, Adil Hossain Noble, RedDot Digital’s Managing Director and CEO, Hasib Mustabsir signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. The signing ceremony was held at EGCB’s Head Office in Dhaka.

EGCB’s Executive Director, Planning & Design, Md. Nazmul Alam said: “Axentec and RedDot's advanced AI technology will provide early fault detection solution which will help in reducing power plant’s downtime. Hence, the AI solution will directly contribute towards uninterrupted supply of electricity. Thus, the signing marks a significant step toward optimizing operational efficiency and reliability in power generation in Bangladesh.”
